Player to watch for shots on goal, point and/or goal: Sam Reinhart, F, FLA

The Florida Panthers wing has 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 17 games this postseason. Reinhart, who led the Panthers in goals during the regular season (39), also leads the team in shot attempts (16), is second in SOG (nine) and ranks first among Florida forwards in ice time (59:56) through two games of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final against the Edmonton Oilers. In Florida’s 5-4 double-overtime win in Game 2, Reinhart led them in shot attempts (11), was tied for the team lead in 5-on-5 SOG (five) and finished first among forwards in ice time (30:37). The Panthers generated 21 shot attempts at 5-on-5 when Reinhart’s line with center Aleksander Barkov (17 points in 19 games) and wing Carter Verhaeghe (17 points in 19 games) was on the ice in Game 2, which was more than any line in the game. The Edmonton Oilers center leads the Stanley Cup Playoffs with 31 points (six goals, 25 assists) in 18 games, including an NHL-best five points (all assists) through the first two games of the Stanley Cup Final against the Florida Panthers. McDavid has at least two points in five straight games and leads the League with 11 multipoint games this postseason. With three points in Game 2, McDavid (1.61) surpassed Mario Lemieux for second all-time in points per game in the Stanley Cup Playoffs (minimum 10 games played) and trails only Wayne Gretzky in that category (1.84). McDavid is tied for 16th all-time in multipoint games in the postseason (48) and tied for third among active players behind Pittsburgh Penguins teammates Sidney Crosby (67) and Evgeni Malkin (53). McDavid has 11 SOG in the first two games of the Stanley Cup Final and has had at least three SOG in 15 of his 18 games this postseason. Marchand, who has 17 points (seven goals, 10 assists) in 19 games this postseason, is tied for third all-time in playoff overtime goals (five) and is first among active players in goals scored in the Stanley Cup Final (10). Marchand is tied for second across the League this postseason in road points (14) and 5-on-5 points (13); he is also tied for the team lead in goals (three) and leads them in SOG (10) during the first two games of the Stanley Cup Final. Marchand has found chemistry on the third line with center Anton Lundell (14 points in 19 games) and wing Eetu Luostarinen (14 points in 19 games) as they’ve combined for six points against the Oilers. Per NHL EDGE stats, Marchand is tied for fourth in high-danger goals (five) this postseason and is eighth among forwards in even-strength skating distance (45.64 miles).
